Girls on Bikes and Distractions

Lately, I have been working on a series of characters for an animation, that includes producing all nine or more heads for each character. Talk about more heads are better than one. These heads all belong to a mean teacher, complete with an giant attitude. Her attitude is just about as big as her head, and there are a lot of them. This teacher is well on her way to being able to speak, just a few more facial expressions, as well as, mouths to match each vowel sound, now you understand why she needs so many heads. Standing next to her is the main character's mother, also a skinny stick.

Also I am working on a project for myself. It just came to me one day as I was looking for some inspiration. As my portfolio was lacking illustrations of children, I decided to create an illustration showing several poses and activities in one by using vignettes.  My lovely Vanna White, Oliver, poses with my sketch for this next picture. Though my cat my look cute, he is actually a pretty big distraction.

For this project I wanted to bring back a character that I used for a previous illustration. I decided to name her Miranda. She is not afraid of the dark as she appears in mixed media technique. I hope when I finish this newest addition to my portfolio, I hope to show my versatility in my ability to draw characters and also hope to add some elements of graphic design. I think this could make a great book cover or page in children's book.

My other distraction, Julius
