Getting Just the Right Lighting

So it's been awhile...I think most my posts start out this way...

However, I have recent news as I completed an album cover for Chicago artist Ami Saraiya and her band The Outcomes.

In completing this project I experimented with creating a 3-Dimensional image and lighting. Instead of using various art mediums to create the fine lines and details, I simply used the shadows from the cut paper. The lighting was tricky but well worth the result. In my next post I will show the many variations that the different lighting produced.
